New Principal Selected - Welcome Bill Overton!

It is with the greatest pleasure and excitement that we announce to the community that Bill Overton is the new principal of Ohlone. Bill was confirmed at the board of education meeting, by the Board of Education, last night, Tuesday, June 23.

Bill has been a teacher at Ohlone for over 28 years. He did his student teaching at Ohlone, in 1979, with the founders of Ohlone. There is no one who imbues the spirit of Ohlone like Bill Overton. He believes in the Ohlone Way and lives the Ohlone Way. We are most fortunate to have him at the helm.

Bill will be making time to meet, talk, and introduce himself as the new principal, when school reopens in August. Many opportunities will be provided for dialogue. His official starting time will be in August.

Ohlone is in good hands and let us ensure that our community continues to thrive.

MESSAGE FROM SUSAN

It is with mixed emotions that I write this message to the Ohlone community.

I have decided to retire from the PAUSD at the end of this school year.

The last twelve and and a half years at Ohlone have been the most wonderful of my 28 years in the district.  This is the most amazing, supportive, caring, and generous community of parents.  You have allowed me the honor to serve you and shepherd your precious children.  I feel sure and definitely certain that Ohlone will continue to thrive in the future.  I am betting on it!!
